Summer learning journey-week 1-Day 3-it's All in the family-activity 1-the more,the merrier.
If I were in a big family with nine siblings I would probably feel compelled if I were one of the oldest or the youngest because the oldest wouldn't have any hand me downs from any older siblings, and for the youngest the hand me downs probably wouldn't be in it's original best quality.I would enjoy being in a big family because no matter what they always got your back, and are always there when you need a helping hand.It also would be fun when you go on all the family trips and making new memories with the people you love!

Kia ora Te Paea,
ReplyDeleteI like how you have thought about both the highs and lows of being in a big family. I am not sure I would like to be the youngest of 9 children and receive all the hand me downs. However, if having hand me downs meant more fun with my siblings and 9 times as much fun on holidays then I would definitely be ok with that.
In the 1800's many families struggled with money. Have you thought about whether a family of 11 would afford to go on holiday? Can you think of any other problems these families might have had? Would your house fit 9 children? Mine definitely wouldn't.
Well done on completing so many activities last week. I am looking forward to seeing more from you in our future programmes.
Have a lovely day,
Megan :)
Kia ora Te Paea,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Rachel and I am working with Megan on the Summer Learning Journey programme again this year. We have another great programme all ready for you. I hope that you're able to join us and to do a great job with the programme, just like last year.
To find the new programme, please check out the Summer Learning Journey website (www.summerlearningjourney.co.nz) and go to the Weekly Activities tab. You will find links to the four weeks' worth of programming (15 activities per week, 60 activities in total). We really hope that you'll check them out, choose one that interests you and post it on your blog!
There are lots of great prizes up for grabs this year!
Hope to see you online soon,
Rachel (and the SLJ team)
