I like your letter because you have really thought about what you can write if you were leaving the country. Maybe next time you could say the friends name, for example Dear Rose,. This reminds me of when i watched survivor and they read letters from their families because they were on a island for a long time. Have you watched survivor? Good luck on your tasks over the summer/ school holidays.

ReplyDeleteWow, what a great letter you have put together for your friend. I really like how you have thought about how you might be feeling travelling to a new country. I agree that I would be extremely nervous as well but very excited to experience a new adventure. As you are travelling in a little waka from the Polynesian Islands, what do you think the journey may have been like over international waters?
In the 1800's I don't suppose there were many hotels to stay in before you built a house. What do you think you would do when you arrived in New Zealand?
