My name is Toeumu and i am a student in room 3 at Wesley Primary School.
Good job on the differences and similarities. Maybe next time you could add a picture of the house you are comparing it with so we know if you got the differences and similarities right. This reminds me of when i did this post and i did similar differences and similarities to you. Good luck on your tasks over the summer/ school holidays.
Do you know what the carvings are called or what type of carvings they are?
You have created another great post to share with us. I really like how you have acknowledged the carvings that you would find on a wharepuni. This is a significant difference which distinguish's a wharepuni from other buildings around the world. Have you ever visited a wharepuni before? If you have, did you learn about what these carvings represent?
I have been to a few wharepuni's before but the only one I have visited in Auckland was at the Auckland museum. Have you seen this one before? You can also see a waka at the museum. It might be interesting to go and visit the museum now that you have completed all these activities.
